Biography
Lori Peters was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Raised by Godly parents and brought up in church, she began her relationship with Jesus at the tender age of seven. Lori attended Christian school and is an alum of the well know class of 1990 at Colorado Springs Christian School with classmates Nichole Nordeman and Danny Oertli.
Throughout her formative years she took piano lessons and sang in multiple audition choirs and ensembles in school and church. She also sang solos, duets and trios. While in the sixth grade, she first heard God’s calling to His service and this call was repeated at a Twila Paris concert in high school.
An active member of her youth group, and involved in many service projects, Lori explored areas of ministry without knowing fully where God was going to use her. After attending college and meeting the love her life – Kevin, she began her family and served in every church they attended. Being an Air Force wife afforded a view of different areas of the country and different churches. This began to shape her thinking of how she could serve God.
Fast forward to 2005. After leaving the Air Force, having six children and settling in Colorado, in a sermon at the latest church she attended and served as vocalist and pianist/keyboardist, she clearly heard God’s call to worship – leading others in meaningful and relevant worship of a holy God. From that point on she has honored her calling and sought experience and training in the field.
She formerly served as a Worship Leader and Director of Production at Solomon’s Porch Community Church in Thornton, Colorado. After God led her husband to a new job, she relocated with her family to New Hampshire.
She currently serves as pianist/keyboardist and a worship leader at Riverside Christian Church in Merrimack, New Hampshire. She also serves on the church's exciting Evangelism Team. She actively sings, writes/arranges and leads worship at churches, retreats and any other opportunity that comes along. She is involved in voice over work for churches and businesses. Along with her music opportunites, she is also pursuing a Masters of Divinity in Theology and Apologetics.
Lori is a devoted follower of Christ, and while not always perfect, or easy, she is always pursuing Christ likeness and the transformation of her thinking. While God has brought much trial as well as discipline in her life, she still desires His guidance and will. She prays everyday to experience the wonder and mystery of God.
Life Verse:
